1. How do I know if this support is right for me?
If you have been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, or simply not like yourself, reaching out can be a helpful first step. You do not need to have everything figured out before seeking support. If something does not feel right, that is reason enough to talk to someone.
2. Do I need a referral to book a session?
In most cases, you can book directly without a referral. If you are planning to access services through a specific program or funding option, you may need additional documentation. This can be discussed during your first contact.
3. What happens in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know you. We will talk about what has brought you in, what you are experiencing, and what you would like support with. It is a relaxed and safe conversation with no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with.
4. How many sessions will I need?
There is no set number of sessions. Some people benefit from short term support, while others prefer ongoing care. We work together at your pace and regularly check in to make sure the support feels right for you.
5. Is everything I share kept confidential?
Yes, your privacy is taken seriously. Everything discussed in sessions is confidential, with a few legal exceptions around safety. These will be clearly explained so you always feel informed and comfortable.
6. Do you offer support for children as well as adults?
Yes, support is available for children, adolescents, and adults. For younger children, play therapy is used to help them express and understand their emotions in a safe and supportive way.
7. What if I feel nervous about starting?
Feeling nervous is completely normal. Many people feel unsure before their first session. You will be welcomed into a calm, supportive space where you can take things at your own pace. There is no judgment, only understanding.
